An out-and-back, non-technical mountain bike adventure from Mill Valley to the Mt. Tamalpais summit.  Mostly fire trail with a few paved roads. Many majestic views of the Bay Area.  No single track routes unless you are lost.

Round trip to West Point Inn = 12 miles with 1,600 feet of climbing.  Water, bathrooms, snacks available at the Inn.
Add 4 miles and 800+ feet of climbing to reach East Peak (summit). Water, bathrooms, snacks available at summit.
Add ? miles for fun side trips to Middle Peak or different return route.
Attention DATMBA riders…
The lunch plans have been changed/modified/upgraded.
Picnic at the summit.  Each rider provides their own real-food and drinks/snacks.
At the staging area, food & drinks will be placed in one or two burley trailers and will be hauled to the summit by Rich and Trace.

Hello fellow riders: I am posting a second route map that provides steepness arrows and several alternative return routes (via Eldridge Grade, etc.) Enjoy!!!

Start adventure at 9:30am.  Directions to staging area from either direction on HWY 101 in Marin County:

1. In Mill Valley area- take East Blithedale to Mill Valley.

2. Continue straight as it turns into West Blithedale.  About 1 mile, look for off-road parking on the right.  If you pass a gate marking the fire trail, you have gone too far. At Tony’s suggestion, use this address for your GPS navigator: 601 W. Blithdale Ave, Mill Valley, CA 94941-1049.
