Annual Day After Thanksgiving Mountain Bike Adventure (different adventure each year).
Details: Ride will be about 16-17 miles with roughly 2500ft of climbing. Mostly fire road with some single track – nothing too technical (this will change if we get lost). Start in Joaquin Miller Park, enter Redwood Regional Park for an 11 mile (cc) loop and return through Joaquin Miller.
Directions to staging area: Just West of Joaquin Miller Community Center at 3594 Sanborn Drive, Oakland, CA…
As you head up Joaquin Miller Rd off Hwy 13 you’ll see the entrance to Woodminster on your left. Turn into the entrance and as you pass the first parking lot and ranger station on your left you see a sign for a Dog Park with a large parking lot. We’ll meet there.
There are picnic tables but no BBQ’s so bring yourself a sandwich and something to share with the group for after the ride….
We’ll start pedaling at 9:00 – if you’re going to be late, just give us a call so we know to wait for you….Rich’s cell number is 510-376-2792.

Two separate reunion rides before the reunion lunch. Both rides start and end at parking lot at Brian’s Restaurant, Los Altos. Go to link to Brian’s Restaurant for directions.
Rolling at 9:00am: a 30 mile loop lead by Leticia Macintyre.
Rolling at 10:00am: a 20 mile loop lead by Jer Kruse.
Both rides return at 12:00pm to attend the reunion lunch.

WHAT: Special Fund Raising Screening of “Ride the Divide”
WHERE: Christ’s Community Church (25927 Kay Ave, Hayward)
WHEN: Friday – Nov 19th at 6:00 PM
WHY: We are raising funds for Turning Wheels for Kids (http://www.turningwheelsforkids.org)
Turning Wheels provides bicycles and helmets for under privileged children – Not only are we raising money for the cause ($85.00 purchases one bike and one helmet), but our Mountain Biking Group the “Nite Dawgs” is volunteering two days in December collecting and assembling bicycles – for Christmas 2010! You too can make a real difference in someone’s life this year and have a great time doing so.

Tickets to attend are $10 each. We would like to pre-sell as many as possible to gauge attendance.
This is a family event – (sorry no pets) so make it a “family date night” for a great cause.

After the movie, we’re going to be going to dinner at Buddy’s Bites and Brews down the street in Hayward – http://www.buddysbitesandbrews.com – they have really good food and always good beer on tap.
