West side of GGB closed for four months.  Us cyclists need to co-mingle with the pedestrians on the East side (oh joy!).

Cross the Golden Gate Bridge and enjoy various loops:

  • Route 1: Marin Headlands & Paradise Dr Loop- 48 miles with 2,580 feet climbing.
  • Route 2: Paradise Dr Loop without Headlands- 42 miles with1,840 feet climbing.
  • Route 3: Tiburon and return- 35 miles with 1,200 feet climbing.
  • Route 4: Out & Back to end of bike path at Richardson Bay- 18 miles with 600 feet climbing.
  • Route 5: The Alpine Dam loop (featuring the 7 Itch-Bays). This is the clockwise direction. Start/end at Crissy Field, SF.
Route 5: 53 miles with 3,900 feet of climbing. (add Mt. Tam summit: add 6 miles and 800 ft) Lunch stop in Fairfax after the climbing!

Directions to starting point via MapQuest: Sports Basement, 610 Mason Street, SF. But, go to beach access parking near the bathroom building with wind sock.
