Crissy Field (SF) and various Marin Loops

Meet at Crissy Field in SF for crossing the Golden Gate Bridge and various Marin loops.

Route A: 44 miles with 1,900feet climbing- Partial Marin Headlands, lunch at Shark Deli in Tiburon, return via Paradise Drive loop. Other options available per the attached map.

Directions to the starting point (Crissy Field, SF):
From Oakland/East Bay-
a. 80 West over the SF / Oakland Bay Bridge.
b. In SF, take the 9th Street/Civic Center exit.
c. Going down the off ramp, tend to the RIGHT, go STRAIGHT onto Harrison.
d. Go one block and turn RIGHT onto 9th Street. Work your way to the left lane.
e. After crossing Market Street, turn LEFT onto Hayes Street.
f. One block after Van Ness Avenue, turn RIGHT onto Franklin Street.
g. Straight on Franklin Street until it ends… turn LEFT onto Bay Street.
h. Go three blocks, turn RIGHT onto Laguna Street.
i. Follow Laguna and it becomes Marina Blvd. as you tend LEFT at the famous Marina Safeway.
j. Continue on Marina Blvd., getting into the right lane. After the Yacht Harbor, DO NOT enter the freeway on-ramp to the GG Bridge, but…
k. Tend to the right and enter the Crissy Field/GGNRA.
l. After entering Crissy Field, take the first RIGHT and it will take you to the paved parking for the beach.
m. Unload your bike and continue with this adventure. Bathrooms and water at windsock.
From below SF-
1. 101 North.
2. Take the 7th Street exit and turn LEFT onto 7th
Street.
3. After going under the Freeway, turn LEFT onto Harrison Street.
4. Go two blocks and turn RIGHT onto 9th Street. Work your way to the left lane.
5. Follow the directions above beginning at “e”.

Annual Lucas Valley-Pt Reyes Station Loop

One week before the ACCCBT2008 blast off!

This annual ride shares the highlights the Coast Classic: scenic riding, friends & fellowship, and good food. Three routes available (66 miles or 49 miles or 35 miles). Starting point is at the McInnes Golf Center in San Rafael.

The Lucas Valley/Pt. Reyes adventure.

Route B: 49 miles with 2,300 feet of climbing. Lunch in Pt. Reyes Station (Short route)
Route B: 35 miles with 2,000 feet of climbing- Round trip to the Petaluma Cheese Factory.

Mt. Bike (or road bike or hike) at Big Basin Park

Saturday, September 6, 2008. Lynn & Jim Bryant are leading another Mt. Bike adventure at Big Basin State Park. Gather around 9:00am-9:30am at the Group Day Area and begin the Mt. Bike ride at 10:00am. The ride is 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours (13 miles with 1,800 feet of climbing for the biggest loop). Road ride also begins at 10:00am- 18 mile out-and-back to Boulder Creek and/or 16 mile out-and-back to  North entrance of park.  BBQ at 2:00pm. Event open to family and friends for hiking or Mt. Biking and the BBQ. You bring your own beverages and food for the grill and we’ll provide the utensils, tablecloths, charcoal, napkins, and plastic cups.
