Cross the Golden Gate Bridge and enjoy various loops:

  • Route 1: Marin Headlands & Paradise Dr Loop- 48 miles with 2,580 feet climbing.
  • Route 2: Paradise Dr Loop without Headlands- 42 miles with1,840 feet climbing.
  • Route 3: Tiburon and return- 35 miles with 1,200 feet climbing.
  • Route 4: Out & Back to end of bike path at Richardson Bay- 18 miles with 600 feet climbing.

Directions to starting point via MapQuest: Sports Basement, 610 Mason Street, SF. Go to beach access parking near the bathroom building with wind sock.

Orinda BART station- 3 Bears Loop

Start and end at the Orinda BART parking lot.

Route A: Full loop via Crockett is 49 miles with 3,700 feet of climbing (Lunch in Crockett)

Route B: Just 3 Bears Loop is 23.4 miles with 1,640 feet of climbing.

First road ride of the new year. Several ACCCBT2009 riders have signed up for the Solvang Century on Saturday, March 14, 2009.  Hence, an aggressive 1QTR2009 schedule.

Description:
Intermediate, hilly. AKA: Almost the 2nd half of the Grizzly Peak Century)26.6 miles with 2,320 feet climbing.

Monte Bello open space mountan bike adventure, Cupertino

New Year’s Day has become an annual mountain bike adventure. This year we do the Monte Bello Open Space above Cupertino starting at 10:00am.

Distance is approximately 17.5 miles with 2,600 feet of climbing (most of it on Montebello Road to get to the summit) and then great downhills on fire trails and safe single track. Cross two creeks.

Directions to starting point: Parking at Stevens Creek Reservoir at the intersection of Stevens Canyon Road and Montebello Road, Cupertino. Use this link to get to the mapquest site. Bring food and water for the ride and we’ll have a BBQ back at the start/end point in the adjacent picnic area.
