New Years Day annual mtn bike adventure- China Camp State Park

|| Filed under: Events
January 1, 2010
9:30 amto1:30 pm

Happy New Year!  A 7:15am status report = GREEN LIGHT = the event is scheduled as is.  Now a 40% chance of rain.

ZZZ YA Dare, Jer (510-388-8048)

China Camp State Park (San Rafael) was selected for the 2010 New Years Day Annual Mountain Bike Adventure: 1) Because of its reputation of user-friendly, legal, single track trails. 2) Because most of us have not visited this site. 3) Because other family members can hike while we bike. 4) There are picnic table/BBQ facilities available for our post-ride, pot luck BBQ.  5) Because LynneDawg sez so!

Park literature shows 12+ miles of trails that we shall investigate and enjoy followed by pot luck BBQ (details to be shared as riders/hikers respond)  Feet climbing = to be determined.  Please RSVP if you plan on participating (dakruser@pacbell.net).

Directions to park: Four miles east of San Rafael on the shore of San Pablo Bay. From Highway 101, go east on North San Pedro Road for five miles until it enters the park.  MapQuest linkLink to park website.
