Saratoga: Boulder Creek/Big Basin — Route Change for 8/12/2023
August 17 @ 8:15 am - 3:00 pm
RIDE A: Full loop – 58 miles with 6,800 feet of climbing. (A very big ride – no pun intended)
“Big Picture” ride: big redwoods, big climbs, and big descents.
Following the Fire in the Park 3 years ago, the on-line information regarding the use of Big Basin State park is very mixed and confusing. In particular it is unclear regarding Bikes using Route 236 through the park. RIDE A does go through the Park on 236 but if we find the route closed we will follow Route 9 from Boulder Creek to Saratoga, the B RIDE. Route 9 follows the edge of Big Basin Park without going into it..
